Powertrains and Performance
The heart of any vehicle lies in its engine, and both models offer a range of powertrain options. The Fiat 600 kicks off with a 1.2-litre petrol engine available in MHEV and electric versions, producing power outputs from 100 to 156 HP. Its acceleration figures from 0-100 km/h range from 8.5 seconds for the sportier variants to 10.5 seconds for the base version. On the other side, the VW Taigo features a selection of petrol engines, with power outputs ranging from 95 to 150 HP. The performance is impressive, with the most potent variant accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds.
Both vehicles offer front-wheel drive with different transmissions available. The Fiat 600 utilizes a dual-clutch automatic and a reduction gearbox, while the Taigo features both a manual gearbox and a dual-clutch automatic option, setting the stage for more driver engagement.
